ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY Every number on this page is invented. Tonehollow is a fictional company, and nothing here was drawn from any real company's books, app store accounts, systems, or confidential material. It is a working sample of the subscriber economics work SPRCHRGR does, populated with plausible fictional data so the shape of the analysis is real even though the figures are not.

6
Annual plans, deferred revenue and cash Billings against recognized revenue, the deferred balance through the year, and cash with the next twelve months on your levers
Why January annual billing is the cheapest financing Tonehollow has. An annual member pays $99.99 the day the plan starts, and the company earns it a twelfth at a time. The unearned part sits on the balance sheet as deferred revenue: cash in the bank for lessons not yet delivered. Because most annual plans start in the January rush, the deferred balance peaks just as the company needs to pay for the next year's growth, at no interest and with no covenants. The catch is that it is owed in service, and an annual member who doesn't renew takes next year's cash with them.

Win-back: lapsed members who come back Reactivations by month, before and after the win-back emails began in Nov 2025 · how each lapse month came back

Exit lens: subscriber quality as valuation support A buyer prices the revenue it keeps, from members who stay · illustrative multiple · pre-tax
Taxes are left out on purpose. Every value here is pre-tax. What a founder keeps after tax depends on deal structure, entity type and state, and that is a conversation for the founder's CPA.

What it takes to get this on your own numbers

We connect read-only to your app store and web billing reports, your ad accounts and your accounting system, rebuild every cohort from the first subscriber forward, and tie revenue, fees and deferred revenue back to the books. Then we put channel LTV:CAC, kept revenue and retention by plan in the form your board and your next investor read, and refresh it after every month-end close. That is CFOptimize – accelerate your growth, built for subscription founders who want to know which growth to buy.
