Provisioning QuickBooks Online access for SPRCHRGR

Effective Date: June 12, 2024

SPRCHRGR has a special Accountant's Console set up with Intuit to manage how our firm connects to each client's QBO file, which makes certain extra features available to the trained accountants on our staff that end up saving us time and you money!

Therefore, please precisely follow the instructions below to grant our team access to your QBO file.

NOTE:

  • Inviting us as a ‘Standard user’ slows our team down because it prevents us from accessing the extra Accountant tools — please avoid this whenever possible so we don’t waste your time having to reprovision our Accountant access later.

  • QBO Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus subscription levels each come with 2 ‘Accounting firm’ user seats. QBO Advanced comes with 3 ‘Accounting firm’ user seats.

  • If you don’t have an Accountant user seat available for us, please consider one of the alternate options outlined at the bottom of this page.

Please invite qbo@sprchrgr.com to access your QBO file as an ‘Accounting firm’ user whenever possible.

For prospective clients of SPRCHRGR:

In case we have questions once we dive in, please first email your name and phone number to assessment@sprchrgr.com.

Then, please invite assessment@sprchrgr.com to access your QBO file as an ‘Accounting firm’ user whenever possible.

Rest assured that SPRCHRGR will not make any changes whatsoever to your QBO file during our assessment review.

If you don’t have an Accountant user seat available…


If you’re an active client of our firm and you still require 2 other accounting firms besides SPRCHRGR to each hold an ‘Accounting firm’ user seat in your QBO file at the same time:

  • Please consider upgrading to the QBO Advanced subscription level, which comes with 3 total ‘Accounting firm’ user seats + more advanced features that cater to larger, more complex businesses. Our team can assist you with that upgrade, just let us know.

If you’re a prospective client of our firm and you already have both QBO ‘Accounting firm’ user seats assigned to 2 other accountants (or you otherwise aren’t able to follow the instructions above) please select an option from the table below instead:

The best option for us

Temporarily remove one of your other Accountant users, then invite assessment@sprchrgr.com to access your QBO file as an ‘Accounting firm’ user.

You'll be able to remove our access and restore your other ‘Accounting firm’ user's access in a few days, once we've completed our review.

If that's not possible, please either:

Option 2:

Simply invite assessment@sprchrgr.com to access your QBO file as a 'Standard ' user.

You'll be able to remove our access in a few days once we've completed our review.

Option 3:

Create a temporary 'Standard' user account with any other email address you want our team to utilize to temporarily access your QBO file.

It could be any other email address ending in @yourcompany.com

It could also be a temporary Gmail account that you create specifically for this purpose

Forward the invitation email to assessment@sprchrgr.com so we can follow the link in that email to complete setting up our temporary access to your QBO file. We'll use our own phone number to retrieve the 2FA security code that Intuit requires before we can access the system.

Once we complete our review, you can remove that user and delete the email account all together.

Last resort option:

Temporarily share your own user login with us, understanding that we'll need your help to provide us with the 2FA security code that Intuit sends you via SMS when we try to log into your user account.

In this case, please first email assessment@sprchrgr.com with your cell phone number and availability so we can coordinate with you via SMS to retrieve the code before it expires.

Once we complete our review, you can change your password to resecure your account.
